WiMo: HF vertical antennas / groundplane antennas

QRV on all bands, even with restricted space... the BB-7V antenna is 6.7m long and has a max. power load of 250W PEP. The SWR above 3MHz is, depending on surroundings, at 2:1 or better. On some bands a simple tuner is required, the built-in tuners of many rigs are usually sufficient. The BB-7V is a wideband antenna, so it works also outside the amateur bands. Simple installation, no alignment required. The antenna does not require radials.
Connector PL jack, the small transport length only 1.3m makes this antenna also suitable for camping or other portable uses, weight 3kg.

Force 12 SHortwave vertical antennae Sigma-5

Force-12 is known besides their Multiband beams also for verticals like the Sigma-5 and SIgma-5GT.

Sigma-5

Small and unobtrusive vertical antenna with low losses for 5 bands (20, 17, 15, 12, 10m). Height 3.5m, length of hotizontal parts 2x 60cm. In principle a true vertical dipole, therefore unaffected by bad ground situations, without radial, no guy wires required. Max. power load 1200 Watt PEP SSB, 700 Watt CW. Transport length only 60cm, weight 3.5 kg. The antenna is center fed with the supplied balun. Band switching is done with relays in the center element, 15m control cable and remote switch is included. The switching system requires 12V DC, 100mA. Without supply power the antenna is switched to 20m.

Sigma-5GT

Heavy-duty version of Sigma-5, 4m high and even more robust. Well suitable as stealth antenna: just hang some light weight flower pots on the horizontal elements. Transport length 120cm, weight 5kg.

Sigma-40XK

The Sigma-40XK © is the same antenna used by Team Vertical on 40 meters to set World Records. As development continued, it was discovered that this excellent antenna could be enhanced for operation on more bands by using the 40 meter version as the core design. It comes with all components to place it on the 40-30-20-17-15-12-10 amateur bands. In actual practice, the Sigma-40XK © can be placed on any frequency or band between about 5 MHZ and 30 MHz, making it an excellent choice for MARS and other services.

It can also be operated horizontally as a dipole close to the ground for NVIS emergency communications. One alpha tester even put it on 75 meters!

N6BT used the Sigma-40XK © during the CQP in early October, parking alongside the road in Tulare county. Running barefoot, 138 QSOs were made in only 2 hours including changing the antenna from 10 to 15 and then to 20 meters. About 1/3 of the contacts were on CW. Several unsolicited comments on the excellent signal strength were received, plus having VE1, VY1 and VK stations call in.

Frequency changes are simple. The T-bar lengths are set to the correct length for 20 through 10 meters, with pre-sets and pre-cut sections. 40 and 30 use the 20 meter T-bars, plus center loading coils are added at the feed point. Simple - and - it let's you get your hands on the antenna and learn what is happening! This is a great teaching tool for students.

GPM-1500 Wideband vertical HF antenna

Multiband vertical antenna for 1.8 to 30MHz, with reduced efficiency also useable on 50MHz.
Requires a simple coax tuner for operation, the built in tuners usually work well, in some cases a tuner extender (e.g. MFJ-914) is necessary.
The antenna can be installed anywhere, either on the rooftop, on the trailer hook or on a camper car during vacations. Due to the slim body the antenna is very unobtrusive. The antenna is fed with a coax cable of any length, PL connector. The radiator is grounded, thus preventing static discharge. Portable vertical antenna for lowbands
Ideal for Dx-peditions etc. The antenna is made of a very light weight aluminum mast with 18m length, two guy wire clamps and 180m guy wires with 3mm diameter. Tarnsport length only 1.5m, total weight only 6 kg. Useful where no palm trees are available to hang a wire antenna... very excellent on low bands. Combined with the small automatic antenna tuner SG-231 it gives an excellent all purposes antenna with excellent results. DF2SS (WiMo) used this antenna in Mayotte (FH) and St.Vincent (J8) with extremely pleasing results.. band changes in less than one second, no retuning required. Spare tubes also available.
