This design can be used with all Icom transceiver which have the CI-V interface (practically all HF and some VHF rigs). The logging software receives band information over the serial interface, PTT and CW keying is done over the serial or parallel interface. Due to the use of the branching cable the ACC socket on the radio remains free for other purposes, e.g. an amplifier.
