The design is useable with all Kenwood transceivers which have the IF-232 CAT interface. The logging software controls the transceiver over the serial port (incl. keying) and also receives band data over this interface. Due to the use of the branch cable the Remote socket on the transceiver remains free for other purposes, e.g. amplifier. The parallel interface on the PC remains free for other purposes, e.g. rotor interface or printer.
