OM-Power was founded in 2004 by two Slovak Radio Amateurs. Very quickly, OM-Power has developed a successful business in the manufacture of amplifiers. The power amplifiers are employed on every continent and in almost every country in the world with enthusiasm.

The OM-Power Amplifier OM2000+ works from 1,8 - 29 MHz, including the WARC bands. The Amplifier works also on 50 MHz. A FU-728F ceramic tetrode ensures a stable output power up to 2000W.

The OM2000+ has 3 antenna outputs, which can easily be switched from the front panel. The operating parameters are displayed on a OLED display with 4x20 characters. In addition, a analog cross needle meter for the forward power and reflected power is installed.

In addition, several LEDs indicate the operating status at a glance. For a simple adjustment to the operating frequency, there is a TUNE-Indicator, which indicates the correct tuning.

Extensive protective circuits prevent damage to the OM2000+ event of incorrect operation. Critical parameters such as SWR too high, too high a grid or anode current, mismatch, etc. are constantly monitored. If an error occurs, the PA switches to standby.

A temperature-controlled fan ensures the sufficient cooling of the FU-728F tetrode. If the tube should be changed, the voltage will calibrate automatically. A complicated trimming is not necessary.

The OM2000+ is in this class with only 24kg, the lightest tube amp from commercial production. In addition, the OM2000+ works on 6m with full power.

OM2200HF + OM-2200A Shortwave Amp 2200 W New

OM-Power OM-2200A

The amp OM-Power OM-220 was introduced to offer an alternative to the model OM-2500, which uses a comparatively expensive tube. The OM-2200 uses a ceramic tetrode FU-728F. This tube offers slightly less power, but leads to a much more attarctive price. As with the larger model the OM-2200 is offered as a manually tuned version OM-2200HF and an automatically tuned model OM-2200A.

The OM-2200HF and OM-2200A amplifiers offer up to 2200 W of transmit power in SSB and CW, and up to 2000 W in RTTY, AM and FM. The amp can be used on the entire shortwave range from 1.8 to 29.7 MHz, incl. WARC bands. With a typical amplification of 17 dB you just need 40 to 60 W input power to get the full output power.

In contrast to the larger models the OM-2200 is supplied with only one phase (one power cable only). But the various safety measurements are the same as with the other products by OM-Power: Protection against high SWR, switch off at too high anode or grid current, protection against mis-tuning and much more.

The OM-2200A automatic amplifier tunes automatically by using the CAT frequency information from the transceiver. This is very useful in a hectic contest. The amp supports most radios of the manufacturers Elecraft, Icom, Kenwood, Ten-Tec (Orion) and Yaesu. Further the OM-Power amps support various 'microHAM' interfaces, which eases the integration of teh amp into the station.

OM2500HF / OM-2500A Shortwave amplifier 2500W

The Amplifier OM2500A has with the installed GU84B tube a output power up to 2500W.
The special feature of this amplifier is the automatic mode. The OM2500A tunes alone to the right settings and is immediately ready for use. Of course, this amplifier can be adjusted manually.
Optionally available is a remote control unit, which allows the amplifier can be operated remotely.

Besides the automatic version is available with the OM2500HF a version with only manual tuning.
On the front panel, a band selector switch has come as an additional control element and the display is dropped off. This means for an operator handle more but for a better price.

Both amplifiers are connected with 2 power lines. Usually you need 2 different phases. When a phase is appropriately protected, both lines can be connected to one phase.

Through several bar graphs the output power and the reflected power is also displayed during the transmission. Additionally, you can read the voltages. At the same time, the display also serves as a tuning aid.

OM4000HF Shortwave amplifier, 4000W

The amplifier OM4000HF provides two FU-728F tetrodes with a maximum output of 4000 W on all HF bands.

With such a high output power, high demands on the cable and the antenna are provided. However, should something go wrong, the amplifier can support up to 350 W reflected power and then goes to stand by. Various other protection circuits ensure that the OM4000HF is not damaged on any errors.

As usual with the OM-Power amplifiers in this power class, 2 phases of the power supply are also needed here. With high enough fused phase you can use both lines on one phase.

OM4000A Shortwave amplifier, 4000W

The OM4000A is the same amplifier as the OM4000HF but with full automatic operation. All settings will be made dependent the transceiver settings.

For this amplifier, a remote control unit is available too, which allows the separated operation.

For the OM2500A a remote control unit is available, which allows remote operation up to 10m. Additionally, the use of a LAN network allows operation over longer distances. Also, the control via the Internet is possible.   With the remote control unit the OM4000A can be operated remotely up to 10m. For longer distances there is a LAN connection available, which allows to integrate the controller into a network or even to control over the Internet.

All operating states are indicated by LEDs on the remote controller. A 30-digit bar graph display shows the actual output power TX-mode.

Remote unit is interfaced to LAN via XPORT made by Lantronix. In the controller a web interface is implemented where the settings can be changed differently from the default values. For remote control and monitoring of pthe amplifier you need a special software, which is provided free of charge.

The remote controller must be properly grounded!
Connect the screw on the back of the box by a copper cable (at least 4 mm2 cross-section) with the station ground. Connect your transceiver and the amplifier on the same ground! If you use an amplifier with high output, you need to be aware that your system must be properly grounded. All parts must be grounded on the same system. Use short cable, and make sure they have good contact!
