Modification of a router

So you want to connect an external antenna to your router, but this does not have a removeable antenna? That's where we can help (probably).
We can modify most routers. The existing, fixed antennas are removed (one or two), instead of the antennas cable jacks are installed. Then you can attach any antenna to these connectors. We will install RP-SMA jacks, which are the most often used types for WiFi equipment.

Please note that the manufacturer warranty and CE approval will expire immediately with this modification! Please respect the local legal regulations of your country.

How long does it take to modify a device?

We usually modify a received unit within three to four days. Including postal shipments you have to live about one week without your router... In case of delays we will inform you by EMail, please state your mail adress on the order form.
Please take note of our vacation times, so that the router does not sit in the inbox without anybody here to work on it...

What possibilities do I have after modification?

The easiest approach would be to install one or two equipment antennas like the 17013.RSMA, 17015.7RSMA or 17015.9RSMA with up to 9dBi gain (compared to 2.15dBi with the original antennas). For antennas see here.
Other than that you can use any other antenna from our selection. Please note that some antennas require optional cables.
