Here you will find:
The FT-950 closes the gap between the FT-2000 and the FT-450. A solid radio for the contester and DX chaser as well as for the newly licensed radio amateur. In good Yaesu tradition the receiver is equipped with three switchable roofing filters (3, 6 and 15 kHz) on the first IF (69.450MHz). They are followed by eight automatically selected bandpass filters for best large signal rejection. The proven IF DSP enhances even the weakest signal for best readibility.
A built-in tuner accomodates not quite perfect antennas, for example on a fieldday or during a vacation. The options MTU-xxxx pre selector filters and the Digital Management Unit DMU-2000 are well known from the FT-2000 (see below for details). With these options a high performance station can be built step by step. Whether you use phone, CW or digital modes - the FT-950 just fits your bill.
With the FT-450 Yaesu extends it's desktop product line with a compact shortwave (+6m) transceiver. The double conversion receiver is equipped with a 10kHz roofing filter and eight bandpass filters, preventing large signal distortions. The very powerful IF DSP (24kHz IF) offers a lot of controls to detect eve nthe faintest signals in the noise: IF shift, contour filter, noise reduction, manual notch filter etc. And the DSP is also helpful for transmission, here it offers a digital equalizer, controls the VOX very precisely etc.
Regardless if ou do SSB, telegraphy or RTTY - the FT-450 covers all needs. Split operation for the rare DX, a built in CW keyer with many options, FSK-RTTY or PSK31 is possible over the data socket. Up to 500 memories are easily managend in 12 different banks, the CAT system allows to control the transceiver from your computer (additional software required).
Up to 100W transmit power (reduceable) are generated in the newly designed Mosfet finals. The solid aluminium chassis, together with a large, quiet fan helps to reduce the thermal stress. An optional antenna tuner (AT-450) can be installed later, on your request we can install it for you. The FT-450AT model has the tuner already installed. Power supply is 12V DC, max. 22A.
Size 229 x 84 x 217mm, weight approx. 3.6kg. Included in shipment is the DC cable, hand microphone MH-67A8J and a handbook.

Features:
µ-Tune Kits are external filters for the bands 160m, 80 + 40m and 30 + 20m. These filters work with a motor driven coil and achieve a very high Q, again increasing the strong signal handling capabilities of the transceiver. The bandfilters require some assembly before use. All required cables are included. Size 330 x 120 x 120mm, weight 2.6kg.
The DMU-2000 is an optional device for the FT-2000 and offers some very useful functions. For operation of the DMU-2000 a SVGA monitor is required (not included). Furthermore some functions require a computer keyboard (not included).
Note: Before starting to use the DMU-2000 the supplied scope unit must be installed in the FT-2000 transceiver. If required we can install that board for you.
The FT-897 is a rugged, innovative, multiband, multimode portable transceiver for the amateur radio MF/HF/VHF/UHF bands. Providing coverage of the 160-10 meter bands plus the 6 m, 2 m, and 70 cm bands, the FT-897 includes operation on the SSB, CW, AM, FM, and Digital modes, and it's capable of 20-Watt portable operation using internal batteries, or up to 100 Watts when using an external 13.8-volt DC power source.
The bottom side of the FT-897 contains a “power source tray” which can accommodate up to two of the optional 13.2 Volt, 4500 mAh FNB-78 Ni-MH Battery Packs, for completely portable operation without any external power source. Maximum power output is 20 Watts (all bands) during battery operation, and with two FNB-78s you may expect up to eight hours of operating time (TX 5%, RX 5%, standby 90%). What’s more, you can charge one of the FNB-78 Battery Packs while operating the FT-897 off the other pack—ideal for situations where solar or other power sources are available. The optional CD-24 Charge Adapter provides the necessary voltage for charging, and it may be used in conjunction with an external 13.8 Volt source, or the optional PA-26 AC Adapter may be used to power the CD-24.
Mobile operation, using the FT-897 as the cornerstone, is pure joy! The combination of the FT-897 and the ATAS-120A Auto-Tune Antenna System provides automated operation from HF through the UHF spectrum! Using an external 13.8 Volt power source, you get a full 100 Watts of power output on HF and six meters (144 MHz: 50 W, 430 MHz: 20 W).
The FT-897’s outstanding fundamental performance invites expansion into a full-featured base station. The optional FP-30 Internal Power Supply provides operation from AC sources, and the clamp-on FC-30 Automatic Antenna Tuner option expands the impedance range of the transceiver. Round out your station with the MD-200A8X Deluxe Desk Microphone and the VL-1000 Quadra System Linear Amplifier for world-class performance at home! The power source tray of the FT-897 is designed to accommodate the optional FP-30 Internal Power Supply, allowing full-power operation from 100-120 V or 200-240 V AC power sources. The quiet switching-regulator design of the FP-30 is tolerant of AC input voltage variations, making it ideal for DX-pedition use! And to extend the impedance bandwidth of your antenna system, the innovative FC-30 Automatic Antenna Tuner option clamps onto the left side of the FT-897 in seconds!
Achieving 100 Watts of power output from such a compact package is a difficult mechanical and electrical engineering task. On HF, push-pull 2SC5125 Bipolar transistors driven by push-pull 2SK2975s provide the 100-Watt power capability, while on VHF maximum efficiency during battery operation is yielded by 2SC3102 bipolar PA transistors. The rugged aluminum die-cast chassis provides a solid foundation for the heat sink for the power amplifier, with a total of almost 40 cubic inches of heat sink surface area available. With its thermostatically-controlled twin cooling fans, the FT-897 will stand up to the rigors of DX-pedition or home contest use, with dissipation capability to spare!
The FT-897 includes a wide array of analog and DSP filters to help you dig out those weak DX signals on a crowded band! One-touch activation of the DSP filters, plus a convenient “DSP” LED on the front panel, enhance the ease of using the DSP. DSP Bandpass Filters, Noise Reduction,a nd Auto-Notch Filter circuits are included.
A wide array of features are tailored to the CW enthusiast operating from home or on an expedition! Included are a CW Tuning indicator, CW Pitch control, Electronic Keyer with three memories and Weight Control, and selection of Full QSK or “Semi-break-in” operation. For DX-pedition use, a unique “Beacon” mode allows you to send a repetitive message on, for example, six meters, to help others spot propagation to your location. And if you’re looking to upgrade your license class, the CW Trainer feature will send five-character letters and/or numbers via the speaker, so you can practice CW reception when the bands are dead!
New version! FT-897D, same as FT-897 but with TCXO-9 installed.

The Radio Mate compact keypad for the Yaesu FT817, FT857 and FT897 enables the user to get the best out of their radio. It has been designed to make many of the common functions quick and easy to use. The keypad does this with a number of fast, effective shortcuts. The keypad is mounted on a sturdy aluminium plate giving it a quality robust feel, enabling it to be used in the field. Requiring no external power, it connects to the 8pin CAT interface of the radio. An LED indicates the current mode, red for the memory mode, green for the direct frequency entry mode and yellow for the modulation mode.
It is also suitable for people who find some of the controls on their radio difficult to use.The Radio Mate compact keypad enables the following shortcuts to be initiated:
Yaesu's popular FT-857 and FT-897 transceivers are wonders of compact efficiency. These do-anything, go-anywhere transceivers were science fiction just a few years ago, but ham's today are using them in shacks, mobiles and on dxpeditions from the back yard to the top of the world.
About the only problem with these radios is that us hams who are old enough to remember when stuff like this really was science fiction are also old enough to wish that the display was just little bit bigger. As we grow in wisdom and experience, we also grow to depend on bifocals; those tiny little screens are just plain hard to read! Add to that a strong desire to see a real live meter needle bouncing on voice peaks, and you find yourself wishing Yaesu had thought all this through when they designed the radio.
Well, in fact they did. A little known feature of these radios, noticed only by compulsive manual readers, is a meter jack on the bottom of the front panel. You have to figure that Yaesu knew they needed a bigger display all along, but just left it as an exercise for the user. Well, help is here! The LDG FT-Meter is a low-cost, plug-and-play solution to all your FT metering needs.
The FT-Meter presents a lush, highly readable 2.5" meter face (illuminated) with calibrated scales for signal strength and discriminator reading on receive, and power output, SWR, modulation, ALC action and supply voltage on transmit. Each function is s electable from the radio's menu. Easily visible from anywhere on your desk or dash, the FT-Meter is illuminated by any external 12 vdc source. The FT-Meter comes fully assembled and ready to go; just plug it into the radio and you're in the picture like never before. Order yours today.

A good mixture of traditional functions and latest technology - the new Yaesu flagship transceiver FT-DX9000D offers all.
The FT-DX9000D utilizes two independant receivers (triple conversion superhet) offering the best possibilities for hunting that rare DX. A high sensitivity (2μV SSB @2.4kHz) and excellent selectivity are Yaesu standard. The transceiver covers all amateur bands from 160 to 6m, the receiver covers 30kHz to 60MHz.
The newly designed "μ-Tune" preselector filters cover 160 to 20m and continue the well known VRF filter tradition from earlier Yaesu radios. The provide a very narrow filtering and optimization of the first stage HF filter.
Three selectable roofing filters (3, 6 and 15kHz wide) work on the first IF level and are vital for providing an excellent blocking dynamic range. By utilizing the latest 32-Bit DSP technology at the IF level there is no need for buying costly crystal filters. Still you don't have to give up tried and tested filter functions - Yaesu extends the tradition of the contour filters known from earlier rigs, giving the DSP filters an almost analog feeling.
A new designed 400MHz DDS sythesizer works at the heart of the FT-DX9000D transceiver, resulting in superior reduction of phase noise and a very quiet receiver.
The transmitter offers solid 200W out, the final amp has very low distortions and offer Class A or Class AB mode operation. The built-in tuner allows the use of various antennas, the tuning range is 16,7 to 150Ω (160-10m)
Another achievement of Yaesu is to make such a complex transceiver still easily useable. Besides the traditional frequency display the FT-DX9000D offers a 6.8" colour display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Besides basic status information the screen offers a lot of functions which help the user in his daily operations. Some functions are: Status information, Audio display (Spectrum or waterfall), HF spectrum, a log book, world map with grey-line, world clock, beam map and direct rotator control (Yaesu rotators). All individual settings and the log is stored on a supplied CF memory card.
Two large analog S-Meters for the two receivers provide vital information at a glance
Yaesu offers a CD ROM with informations and documentation about the new FT-DX9000. The cost for this CD incl. shipping is 5,00 Euro. Please send a 5,00 Euro banknote or your credit card details to receive this CD ROM from WiMo.

We offer two frontend modifications for the FT-1000MP series. For the FT-1000MP this mod is simply installed into the rig. With the FT-1000MP MkV and FT-1000MP MkV Field two soldering connections need to be made. WiMo is happy to install this modification for you.
This small 70MHz IF amplifier is installed in the transceiver and raises the pre-amplification by some dB. To compensate for this the internal amplification is slightly reduced (service menu item 9-1). This lowers the background noise significantly, the sensitivity is increased due to the lower noise floor. With the FT-1000MP this modification is simply installaed, no soldering required. For the FT-1000MP MkV and MkV Field two solder connections are required. On your request WiMo will do the installation for you.
Significant reduction of the bandwidth in the first IF stage, and therefore much improved intermod figures. Extremely useful during heavy contests, when the bands are full of loud stations.
Like the 70MHz IF pre-amp this small PCB carries an additional 70MHz IF filter, installation is the same as the pre-amp.
