Technical description MHP-200
The mast preamplifier MHP-200 is based on the LNA-200 with additional
transmit/receive switching. The switch-over provides a decoupling of
approx. 60 dB, the input is additionally protected with limiters. The
gain is typ. 24 dB, the maximum permissible transmit power is 1500 W,
the noise figure is 0.3 dB. The mast VV is intended for installation
close to the antenna, the housing is weatherproof and UV-resistant. The
remote power supply (12VDC, approx. 460 mA) is provided via the coaxial
cable. A sequencer is urgently recommended for operation.
Application description MHP-200
The MHP-200 is a mast preamplifier for the highest demands. The high
amplification is suitable for use with "weak signal" modes such as
Tropo-DX or EME. The maximum permissible transmit power of 1500 W makes
this preamplifier very suitable for contest or EME operation. For
operation, the MHP-200 must be supplied with 12V phantom power via the
coaxial cable; the use of an appropriate sequencer is recommended. The
transmit/receive switch must not be switched under load.
