ACOM 3x2000A HF Power splitter/combiner

The ACOM 3x2000A is a passive RF power splitter/combiner designed to combine the outputs of three RF linear amplifiers to a common load, such as an antenna. This allows operation with a single transmitter driving the three amplifiers.

• High power: combines the outputs of three amplifiers, providing power levels approaching those of a single amplifier three times higher.
  
• Compatibility: Recommended for use with ACOM 2000A, 2100, 1500, 1000 and 1010 amplifier models, all of which feature a wideband input network to ensure minimal phase differences between units.
  
• Automatic protection: A built-in protection mechanism monitors the outputs of the three amplifiers. If an imbalance is detected, the amplifier control is interrupted and the transmitter output is switched to an internal 50-Ohm termination to protect the devices.

Operation:

For optimal operation of the combiner, three amplifiers with similar characteristics are required. The signals should be coherent, with similar amplitudes and minimal phase differences, to avoid power losses. This is achieved by splitting the input signal from the transmitter into three identical channels using the input splitter and using three identical amplifiers per channel.
