The Alexloop Hampack is a small lightweight portable loop for 7-30 MHz for radio amateurs with space problems or for on the road on holiday or hiking. This ultra-light loop is mounted in a few steps without tools and can be easily tuned via the tuner built into the base, the radio's instrument serves as the SWR meter.

The display with an LED, previously available separately as "AlexTune", is built into the tuning unit. By means of an inductive coupling, some energy is emitted to the LED when it is precisely tuned to the transmitting frequency, and the LED then lights up. This makes precise tuning possible without having to look at the radio (S-meter).

Like any loop antenna, the Alexloop is very narrow-band and insensitive to out-of-band signals, so it acts more or less like a preselector. The antenna is completely independent of radials or ground conditions and can be set up anywhere at any time, e.g. on a camping chair: hold and tune the antenna with the left hand, operate the radio with the right. The distinctive nulls of the loop are very helpful to fade out QRM. To keep the loop's very critical loop resistance low, the connectors are designed as gold-plated, solid PL plugs.

All parts come pre-assembled including 2.6m coax cable in a new backpack, including two separate packing bags for the radio and other accessories. Weight of the antenna about 1300 grams. The connection cable is equipped with a PL plug, so you can start right after unpacking.
