Bandpass filter/preamplifier 6m, 2m or 70cm

With the EME2/3 series, Antennas Amplifiers combines a wideband preamplifier and a bandpass filter with very low insertion loss in a single, RF-tight sheet metal housing.

This constellation realizes a boost of the desired signal (approx. 20 dB, depending on the model) with simultaneous noise suppression. This is particularly useful when working with very weak signals, such as EME or DX operation. On the one hand, a preamplifier compensates for cable losses, and on the other hand, of course, it increases sensitivity. The products of the EME series allow radio operation with high transmitting powers of over 1000 watts, so that you do not have to do without the use of a powerful power amplifier. The maximum values given in the technical data refer to an optimal SWR of 1.0 : 1.

A PGA-103+ is used as amplifier for all models. It enables a particularly high dynamic range over a wide frequency range with a very low noise figure.

In contrast to the EME2 series, the EME3 product line offers two separate connectors for RX and TX.

We recommend operating this product with a sequencer sequence control), e.g. the DCW-2004, part no. 26132, to avoid damage to the sensitive amplifier. Please check the suitability of your radio before using it!

For outdoor operation, e.g. at the base of a mast, an optionally available weatherproof housing is required. Without this weather protection, the devices may only be operated indoors.
