M2M-, ISM-, IOT Antennas

Automation technology requires reliable communication - also by radio! No matter whether it is about measurement data transmission via LoRaWan (Long Range Wide Area Network) or data exchange between machines, the industrial areas of radio technology require very special antennas.

Antennas for the 'Internet of Things' (IOT) use the well-known Wifi frequencies at 2.4 and 5 GHz, but they have to be particularly small to fit into any device. The same applies to ISM antennas, i.e. antennas that use the SRD (Short Range Device) frequencies at 433 and 868 MHz. Here a high degree of robustness is often required to ensure safe operation even under difficult environmental conditions. This is particularly true for antennas used in so-called machine-to-machine (M2M) communication. Here the antennas are mostly used on machines in the manufacturing industry, under corresponding conditions such as vibrations, high temperatures or in the vicinity of aggressive materials such as lubricants. The large selection at WiMo helps to find the suitable antenna for ISM, IOT or M2M.

FAQ

What is an M2M antenna?
An M2M (machine-to-machine) antenna is a type of antenna designed for wireless communication between devices on a network, such as sensors, trackers and other devices used in IoT (Internet of Things) applications. M2M antennas are typically compact and robust to withstand adverse environmental conditions and have high gain to enable long distance communication.
What is an ISM antenna?
An ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) antenna is a type of antenna designed for use in the ISM frequency bands reserved for low-power, unlicensed equipment in various industries. ISM antennas are typically used in applications such as remote control, telemetry and wireless data transmission. These antennas can operate in different frequency ranges, depending on the specific application, and are designed to provide reliable and efficient communication over short to medium distances.
What is an IoT antenna?
An IoT antenna (Internet of Things antenna) is a type of antenna used for wireless communication between devices in an IoT network. IoT antennas are typically small and compact, with high gain and efficient performance to enable communication over long distances and a wide range of frequencies. These antennas are often used in various applications such as smart homes, smart cities and industrial automation.
