These device antennas usually have a low gain, the range is designed for short distances. More important is a great robustness of the antenna, which is why they are often designed as flexible rubber rods (‘rubber ducky’ antenna). Some handheld antennas are extremely flexible, for example to be worn under clothing. Another type of design are telescopic antennas, which are mechanically more sensitive, but offer better performance. The most important selection criteria for instrument antennas are the frequency band, the length and the connector. WiMo offers a wide range of standard HT antennas. If you do not find your desired device antenna here, please ask us - we will be happy to make you an offer for an individual development of the suitable handheld antenna.
Device Antennas
Handheld (HT) antennas are omnidirectional antennas that are mounted directly on the device: a handheld radio, a GSM modem, a remote control, a Wifi router or on a cabinet. The advantage is the very simple mounting - most coax connections are available as bulk-head mounting sockets.
