The Spanish company EAntenna has been a brand of WiMo since 2018. The founder Rodrigo (EA7JX) moved with his family to Germany and now manufactures the reliable yagi antennas in Herxheim at WiMo.
The EAntenna VHF/UHF antennas are calculated and optimized with modern methods. The goal is to achieve a good front/back ratio with an excellent gain. This makes these antennas especially suitable for DX and contesting. The flat, rectangular LFA dipole (Loop Fed Array) is one wavelength long; the outer sides are parallel to the boom and are designed to be inversely phased (+- 180°). As a result, signals on these sides cancel each other out, resulting in significantly reduced sidelobes, low G/T values and a better front/back ratio. The slightly more complex OWL design produces longer Yagis with slightly higher gain, but the G/T ratio, which is important for EME and satellite radio, is more favourable. All EAntenna VHF/UHF Yagis have a rectangular boom and are designed for 50 Ohm impedance.
