WiMo shows solidarity with the Ukraine

The amateur radio service is neither political, religious, military nor commercial purposes pursued, nevertheless, we see ourselves prompted to make the following statement:

With great dismay we follow the development in Ukraine.  The fact that it could come this far in the present time is difficult to comprehend ... and certainly not to ignore.  The pictures of fleeing women and children, who say goodbye to their fathers, brothers, uncles into an uncertain future, bring tears to our eyes.

For us, for various reasons, it is not only a conflict that is wrong in all its dimensions, but also affects us very personally.  We have suppliers in Ukraine and a team of young, highly motivated programmers.  Unfortunately, we have partially lost contact with them and can only hope that they are doing well.  From those we can keep in touch with, we hear terrible news about war activities that are close by.

We strongly condemn the Russian invasion. Our solidarity goes out to the Ukrainian people.  Therefore, we are coloring our logo in the colors of the Ukrainian national flag as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine.

However, we also want to highlight the strength and courage of the parts of the Russian population that oppose a regime under the difficult circumstances. Our respect goes to them as well.
