Chelegance Open/Short/Load Calibration Set, N

An open/short/load calibration set is a set of calibration standards used to verify and optimize the performance of a network analyzer or other test equipment. The set typically consists of three standards: an open standard (Open), a short standard (Short) and a load standard (Load).

• The open standard consists of a connector where the end is not connected.
• The short-circuit standard consists of a connector where the end is short-circuited.
• The load resistor standard consists of a connector where the end is connected to a 50 Ohm terminating resistor capable of terminating the impedance of the cable.

By using these standards, the network analyzer can correct the parameters of the test setup and improve the measurement accuracy. If the calibration set is not used, measurements may be inaccurate as there may be reflections and distortion of the signal as it travels along cables or other devices.

Tests in our laboratory have shown that this O/S/L kit can be used in the entire frequency range from 0 to 3000 MHz without any problems.

This calibration kit contains all three standards in a compact form, 

the all three standards are designed as N-type connectors (male).
