Balun 1:1, 10 kW Maxi-Core Balun

The Maxi-Core Balun from DX-Engineering are characterized by extreme robustness and high performance. The 1:1 10kW Balun offers very good transmission efficiency over a wide frequency range. Thus the HF energy is transmitted as far as possible and not converted into heat loss. This ensures a better efficiency and performance of the antenna system.

Due to the careful mechanical design of the Maxi:Core Balun an exact symmetrization of the signal is achieved. This reduces reflected HF energy on the shield of the coax cable and thus HF in the shack. The balun is housed in a solid, weatherproof aluminum case. The coaxial connector is a silver-plated PL socket with PTFE dielectric, the connection to the dipole consists of two large insulated screw terminals.

This balun is intended for use with broadband multiband antennas, which are tuned with a tuner. This balun is not suitable for use with monoband antennas with low SWR at the resonance point. The balun housing has mounting brackets for mounting on a mast, boom or wall.
