EAntenna OWA Monoband Beams for 14, 21 and 28 MHz

Technical description

The antennas of the EAntenna OWA series are robust "fullsize" beams for the upper bands 20m (14 MHz), 15m (21 MHz) and 10m (28 MHz).

The elements do not use lossy extension coils.

No compromises are made in boom length either, ranging from 6 meters for the 28OWA5 to an enormous 15.74 meters for the 14OWA5. With such considerable boom lengths, it goes without saying that guy ropes have to be used. Except for the "smaller" of the two 28MHz variants, all antennas are supplied with a 4-fold guy for the boom.

The feeding is done by coaxial cable, the balun with PL socket is designed for transmitting powers up to 3000 watts.

All antennas of the series are supplied with mast clamps for masts up to 50 mm diameter.

Application description

We offer the EAntenna OWA-Yagis in 5 different variants:

28OWA5

Yagi antenna for the 10m band with 5 elements and 2-fold braced boom with a length of 6 meters. The gain in free space is 9.74 dBi or 15.24 dBi when mounted at 20 m above ground.

28OWA6

The larger version of the 10m Yagis has 6 elements and an impressive 10.7 meter long boom, which is 4-span.

The gain in free space is 11.55 dBi, the gain above ground, e.g. at 20 m height, is 17.05 dBi.

14OWA4

This 4-element Yagi for the 20m band achieves good gain values with its 4-fold guyed boom of almost 10 meters: 8.87 dBi in free space, or 14.37 dBi when mounted 20 m above ground.

14OWA5

The boom of the 14OWA5 with 5 elements measures 16 meters (!). Thus, a remarkable gain of 10.47 dBi in free space (15.97 dBi above ground, e.g. at 20 m height) is achieved. The required 4-fold bracing for the boom is of course included in the scope of delivery.

21OWA6

For good results in the 15m band this 11 meter long, 6-element Yagi is used. The required 4-fold guy for the boom is included. The gain in free space is 10.77 dBi (16.27 dBi when mounted 20m above ground).
