How does an antenna splitter work?

An antenna splitter is a device that allows multiple radios to operate on a single antenna or, conversely, to use a single radio with multiple antennas by splitting or combining the signals. It uses filter circuits to ensure that the correct frequency bands are assigned to the appropriate devices or antennas. The switch isolates the different frequencies so that the connected devices do not interfere with each other. When used with multiple transmitters, the switch also protects the non-transmitting receivers from the strong signals of the active transmitters.
