Questions & Answers
How is an LTE antenna connected?
An LTE antenna is typically connected to the LTE device, such as an LTE router or modem, via one or two coaxial cables with the appropriate connector. Make sure the antenna and device have compatible connectors, such as SMA, BNC or N-type. First, connect the coaxial cable securely to the antenna and then run the other end of the cable to your LTE device, where you also connect it securely. Many LTE antennas and routers have two ports. After physical installation, align the antenna according to the recommendations for best reception, which are often provided in the included documentation or online by the manufacturer. Before using the antenna, check all connections for tightness and ensure that the antenna is protected from the elements if used outdoors.
