My radio always shows S9 and I can no longer hear anything

If your radio continuously displays an S9 signal but you cannot hear anything, it could indicate a problem with the receiver, such as overload from strong nearby signals, or a faulty antenna or connection. First, check whether the antenna system is connected correctly and has no obvious damage. Then check the RF gain setting, as too high a gain can cause clipping. If available, use the ATT (attenuation) function to reduce the sensitivity of the receiver. If the problem persists, reset your radio or consult the manual for specific troubleshooting procedures for your model. If these steps do not solve the problem, it is advisable to have it checked by a specialist technician as there may be a defect in the receiver.
