Questions & Answers
What is an FM antenna?
A VHF antenna is an antenna that is specifically optimized for the reception and transmission of ultra-short waves (VHF), i.e. frequencies in the VHF range of around 30 to 300 MHz. In amateur radio, it is used to transmit and receive signals on the 2 meter (144-148 MHz) or 70 centimeter (430-440 MHz) bands. The design can be varied, from simple dipoles to more complex Yagi-Uda antennas, depending on requirements such as gain, directivity and bandwidth.
