Which plugs should I use for coaxial cables?

Professionals usually use N, C or so-called 7/16" plugs - at least outdoors - and occasionally PL plugs. For indoor cabling, PL, BNC or SMA are mostly used. Use SMA or BNC for instrumentation equipment. Industrial systems also quite often use the TNC connector. In the Wifi sector, plugs with reversed polarity, so-called reverse polarity, RP plugs, are often used.
