Technical description FT-4XE

The FT-4XE is equipped to the highest industry standards: 200 memories, 10 programmable scan ranges, independent transmit/receive frequency in memory, multiple scan options, VOX operation (with optional accessories), ARTS, two freely assignable function keys and much more. The operating frequency can be set in steps of 5 to 100 kHz in VFO mode, CTCSS and DCS filter functions ensure undisturbed operation and targeted addressing of individual subscribers or entire groups. A FM broadcast receiver is also built in. With the optional programming cable, memory and other functions can be set from the computer, and cloning functions are also provided.
The antenna connection on the unit is a high-quality recessed SMA connector, i.e. female thread and male inner conductor. Accordingly, the antenna has an external thread and a female inner conductor. This means that in addition to the SMA SRA-15 supplied, certain antennas from other manufacturers also fit, including those from Diamond with a "J" in the product name, such as the SRJ-77CA.

Application description FT-4XE

With the FT-4XE, Yaesu continues its successful series of compact dual-band handheld radios. The FT-4XE offers a wide range of features in a compact and robust design. Up to 5 watts of transmit power are available (switchable to 2.5 W and 500 mW), and a 36 mm diameter loudspeaker provides 1 W of AF power – ensuring good clear sound even in noisy environments. The supplied LiIon battery has a capacity of 1750 mAh and thus offers up to 15 hours of operating time. The included charger provides full power again in just 3.5 hours.
With a width of 52 nm, a height of 90 mm, a depth of only 30 mm and a weight of 250 g, the FT-4XE is very handy and yet not too small.
