Diamond GSV-3000 Power Supply 30A

Adjustable 30A power supply with excellent technical data: the GSV-3000 has 30A output current at 100% duty cycle, the output voltage range is adjustable from 1 to 15 volts with a maximum of 3 mVpp ripple. Monitoring of output voltage and current is possible via a large moving coil instrument. The unit has an output current limiter and protective circuits against short-circuit and wrong polarity as well as an automatically controlled fan that is switched on if necessary. The output voltage can be taken either via terminal connections, apparatus terminals or a cigarette lighter socket. The unit's circuitry is designed for operation with HF and VHF transceivers and is correspondingly HF-proof.

Note: The GSV-3000 is identical in construction to the Yaesu power supply FP-1030A.

Note: The manufacturer changed the design sometime in 2010/2011. The fan now always runs, even without load, at about 1/3 of the maximum speed. As a result, the fan is still quite quiet, but quite perceptible in a quiet environment.
