The Diamond HFV-16 is a compact 'Rotary Dipole' for the 17m band, as usual from Diamond with excellent manufacturing quality. The antenna works as a dipole shortened with center coils. The length of the dipole rods can be adjusted very precisely to set the exact center frequency for the SWR minimum. The VSWR is specified as 1.8:1 or better for the frequency range from 18.068 - 18.168 MHz.
The short packing size of 102 cm facilitates the transport for example on vacation or for fieldday. The dipole has a length of 460 cm, the V-shaped installation reduces the turning radius to 165 cm. The weight of the HFV-16 is only 2.2 kg, a PL coax socket is used as connection. A cable is not included in the delivery. The supplied mast clamp allows installation on masts from 30 to 62mm diameter.
