Technical description ID-RP1200VD
The ID-RP1200VD is a complete 23cm repeater for FM and D-Star. The maximum transmit power is 10 watts, switchable to 1W. Firmware updates can easily accommodate future upgrades.
The ID-RP1200VD has an integrated controller function, i.e. no ID-RP2C (as before) is needed for operation. However, the new repeater can also be integrated into existing systems with ID-RP2C controller, so existing investments remain protected. In addition, several repeaters can be cascaded and operated in a network. With an existing Internet connection, worldwide D-Star operation is possible.
Still requires power supply, duplexer, antennas and coaxial cable for operation, as well as other devices depending on the location (lightning protection, etc.).
For the configuration of the repeater, the software ID-RP3 from Icom is necessary. We will gladly provide you with this software for download individually after purchase of the repeater free of charge. Please contact us. Application description ID-RP1200VD
With the ID-RP1200VD, you can easily build up a relay station. The mixed operation of analogue FM and digital D-Star modulation allows a smooth transition between the technologies.
Operation in DD mode
The 1.2 GHz repeater operates in either DV or DD mode (switchable). The DD mode allows data communication and Internet access at 128 kbit/s. The IC-9700, which has 1.2 GHz DD mode, becomes your wireless modem via your computer's Ethernet port.
Unlike in the past, no separate controller (ID-RP2C) is required for operation, the controller is integrated. However, operation on existing relays with ID-RP2C is also possible without any problems. If a multi-band operation is planned, the ID-RP1200VD can also be combined with other repeater modules. When connected to the Internet, worldwide networking via D-Star is possible. For locations without a good Internet connection, an optional LTE module is available (UX-262).
