As a radio amateur you often fight against interference from electronic devices. For years, this has also included network cables (Ethernet cables). The Iso-Plus Isolator helps to effectively stop interference through or into Ethernet networks.
A network cable in the shack can be problematic from two perspectives:
a) the Ethernet signal interferes with the reception or
b) during transmission HF comes onto the network and the computer or router crashes. In both cases the Iso-Plus Isolator helps.
The Ethernet Isolator Iso Plus interrupts the galvanic connection of a typical Ethernet cable. It does not matter whether it is a Cat5, Cat5e, Cat 6 or Cat7 cable. The transmission speed is also irrelevant, Iso-Plus can be used for 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps or 1 Gbps cables. The Isloator has RJ-45 sockets. So this filter can be looped into any existing network line in a few minutes, without soldering or crimping.
The Iso-Plus filter works in the entire shortwave range from below 1 MHz down to the lower VHF range. The installation direction is not important (bi-directional). An Iso-Plus isolator at each end of the Ethernet cable is recommended, so you need two Iso-Plus per cable.
Iso-Plus is for Ethernet cables only, it is not suitable for isolating microphone wires or other cables with RJ-45 connectors. Iso-Plus breaks the galvanic connection and is therefore not suitable for PoE (Power over Ethernet).
