The LNA-30 from SSB Electronic is a receive mast preamplifier for the frequency range from 5 kHz to 30 MHz (LW, MW, KW).
The LNA-30 is used to transform a simple antenna, wire or similar into a powerful and broadband receiving antenna. This allows, for example, an SDR receiver to be operated in unfavourable locations with limited space and to deliver good results.
The LNA-30 amplifies the received signals by about 20 dB. The supply voltage can be between 12 and 24V, the best large-signal strength is achieved at 24V, the lowest noise level at 12V. The power supply should be as quiet as possible, e.g. a linear power supply, not a switching power supply. The LNA-30 has three connections: 2x N-socket for antenna and receiver, 1x PL-socket for power supply. If the power supply is missing, the signal of the antenna is not looped through, the preamplifier is not suitable for transmitting operation. The LNA-30 is weatherproof and should be placed outside, close to the antenna.
Mast diameter: max. 58 mm.
