Everything you need is included - the antenna for Helium and LoRaWAN applications, a matching wall mount and even the cable. Just put one of each into the shopping cart and get started immediately. This set is a suggestion based on our experience. And at the same time this is also the most popular antenna in this category. Of course you can also use other wall brackets and other cable lengths, below you will find suggestions for other suitable accessories.

The antenna

The antenna suggested here is an omnidirectional antenna. It is suitable if the antenna is placed approximately in the centre of the area to be covered, at a height that is not too high. Possible applications are:

  • on the first floor on the balcony to cover the street and opposite region;
  • on a small pole on the garden fence, about 3m high, to supply the settlement;
  • on a small tripod on a flat roof to serve the campus several dozen to a hundred metres around, depending on the development.

The antenna is placed on the top of the mast and fixed with screws. The coaxial cable is fed inside the tube, so the plug connection is (aprofessional N-type connection) is always protected against wind and weather.

The wall bracket

We have chosen a simple and light wall mount, which is sufficient for this antenna (and even somewhat larger ones). The advantage is the inclinability of the antenna tube. So you can tilt the antenna a little bit to improve the coverage in this direction. For mounting you need 2 dowels and 2 screws each.

The cable

The suggested cable is a compromise between low attenuation and sufficient length. Of course it makes sense to keep the cable as short as possible. Whether it makes sense to work with thicker (less damping) cable depends on many details. For example, how to get the cable through the wall, how many adapters you have to use, etc. If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you.
