The mAT-Y200 can be used with Yaesu transceivers which have the usual tuner sockets. Depending on the model, these may be labeled "CAT/LINEAR" or "LIN/TUN", for example. A control cable for Yaesu is included.
Any coaxial cable-fed antenna can be used, i.e. end-fed broadband antennas like the GPM-1500, BB-7V, BB-6W etc., but also dipoles or windom antennas. For antennas with parallel wire a balun must be used for transformation. The operation is fully automatic via the tune button. Also the bypass function can be switched on and off to bypass the tuner.
The mAT-Y200 also has a very useful "tracking" function: If the currently set transceiver frequency is changed, the change is automatically "tracked" by the tuner.
