The MFJ-1794 is a vertical antenna for the shortwave bands 10, 12, 15, 17, 20, 30 and 40m. Its special advantage - the antenna is relatively short and unobtrusive. So it is perfect to hide in the garden, or to place it on the camping site.
Despite the low height of only 3.4m the MFJ-1794 offers good efficiency, because the whole length radiates on all bands. This is achieved by the roof capacities. The MFJ-1794 has - like every vertical antenna - a very low radiation angle and is therefore suitable for DX traffic. The antenna needs a radial network to operate properly. With suitable radials the antenna can also be placed on the roof of a house.
