TheMFJ-949F Deluxe Versa Tuner II is a manual antenna tuner for matching balanced and unbalanced antennas in the frequency range from 1.8 to 30 MHz (up to 300 watts) and 50 - 54 MHz.
Antenna connections:
- 2 x PL socket
- 1 pair of screw terminals for balanced fed antennas
- 1 screw terminal for long-wire antennas
SWR, peak power in forward direction and average reflected power can be read on the 3" cross pointer instrument with switchable illumination; the display range can be switched between 30 and 300 watts.
The MFJ-949F has a built-in 50 ohm dummy load. The internal load can absorb 300 watts for 30 seconds or 100 watts for 90 seconds. For power above 100 watts, a three-minute cool-down period is required between transfers. At an output of 25 watts or less, the load operates continuously.
A thumbscrew is provided to connect the grounding; the display illumination requires an external 12-volt power supply.
