The MLA-M v.5 is a magnetic portable antenna for QRP indoor operation. Outdoors the antenna can be used in warm and dry weather as well.
The robust antenna has a diameter of 60cm and can handle a power up to 10 Watts. Below the ring is a plastic housing located with the tuning unit, jumpers and a PL connector.
The frequency range is selected by two jumpers on the top side of the box. One jumper is responsible for the operation on 80m, while the other allows a selection of 20-10m. If none of these jumpers are connected, the antenna operates at 30, 40 and 60m.
On the bottom side of the tuning unit are 4 rubber feet, which also provide a safe level of the 2.5 kg antenna.
Connector is UHF (SO-239), weight is 2.5kg.
The antenna is not 100% waterproof and so not suitable for permant outdoor installation without additional cover.
The antenna will be shipped fully assembled and ready to use. Shipping dimensions are 0.75 x 0.63 x 0.22m.
New! To overcome the problem with high freight charges for shipment, the antenna is available as a kit now. Assembly is simple and straightforward. Shipping dimensions of the kit is 0.6x0.6x0.1m only, suitable for postal parcels.
