The momoBEAM TETRA18 10/15/20/40 DUALFEED is a high-performance Yagi antenna designed for use on the 10m, 15m, 20m and 40m bands. It combines outstanding performance with high versatility and is ideal for use in demanding amateur radio environments, especially at contest stations.

Versatility through dual-feed system

Thanks to the innovative dual-feed technology, the TETRA18 can be used as a multi-/monoband antenna. This makes it possible to work on several frequency bands at the same time: While a transceiver or amplifier is transmitting on the 10m, 15m or 20m bands, a second one can simultaneously operate on the 40m band. The use of an additional bandpass filter (BPF) is required to protect the equipment from overload.

Optimized design for maximum efficiency

On the 40m band, the TETRA18 uses a reflector driver configuration, with the elements kept compact by loads at the ends. This design, originally developed by W6NL, makes it possible to obtain the performance of a full-size Yagi antenna while reducing the dimensions of the elements. On the 10m, 15m and 20m bands, on the other hand, the antenna has full-size elements in a classic configuration with 4 elements on 20m, 5 elements on 15m and 7 elements on 10m.

The scope of delivery also includes two 3kW RF choke baluns, which are often only offered by other manufacturers as expensive accessories.

In addition, a mounting tool and spare parts (screws and aluminum tubes) are included. The antenna requires two coaxial cables for operation – one for the 40m band and one for the 10m, 15m and 20m bands. Due to the weight of the antenna, a rotor for heavy loads is recommended.
