The OM-Power OM1700+ power amplifier can be operated on all shortwave bands from 1.8 to 29.7 MHz, including the WARC bands, and on 50 MHz. A 4CX1500B ceramic tetrode ensures a stable output power:
Shortwave:
- 1700 W (SSB/CW)
- 1300 W (RTTY)
- 1000 W (FT8)
50 MHz:
- 1500 W (SSB/CW)
- 800 W (FT8)
at an input power of 40 to 60 watts.
The operating parameters are clearly displayed on the 4.3-inch OLED display. For easy tuning to the operating frequency, there is a TUNE display that shows the correct tuning. The OM1700+ has extensive protective circuits to prevent damage in the event of incorrect operation. Critical parameters such as excessive SWR, excessive grid or anode current, detuning, etc. are constantly monitored. In case of an error, the PA switches to standby. Radial and axial fans provide sufficient cooling of the 4CX1500B tetrode during operation. If the tube ever needs to be changed, the voltage is reset by itself. This completely eliminates the need for time-consuming adjustment.
