Technical description PARADAN.DELAY
This set of circuit boards can be used to modify CDE and Hygain rotors so that the rotation will coast to a stop before the brake is applied. The package contains two assembled boards: the relay board and the LED board. They can be easily installed in the control unit of the rotor. Only simple soldering is required. The operation of the rotor is the same as before, except that after the rotary and brake paddles are released, the rotor has enough time to come to a stop before braking. The deceleration time can be set user-defined between 1 and 10 seconds. When the rotor is on, the LEDs will illuminate white; when the brake is applied, the indicator will illuminate red during the deceleration time.
The required power supply is tapped from the rotor lamp.
Application description PARADAN.DELAY
The brake delay board updates your rotor control and helps protect your rotor from damage due to braking while the antenna is still moving. The rotor can be damaged if you release the brake before the antenna has come to a complete stop. To repair a broken rotor, it must then be removed from the mast, disassembled, the damaged parts replaced, and then placed back on the mast - a difficult and costly procedure. Installing the brake delay circuit completely eliminates rotor failures due to damaged gears and brake components. In addition, this package includes a bright LED panel that replaces the failure-prone incandescent bulb.
