An important aspect of the radio hobby is listening, the classic shortwave listener, also known as SWL (Shortwave Listener). Even though shortwave is no longer as important for many radio services as it was 20 years ago, observing the propagation possibilities on the shortwave is still fascinating enough to attract thousands of listeners.
A variety of receivers are available for this user group, from small handheld scanners to semi-professional desktop devices. SDR technology has also found its way into this realm. There are simple and very small USB sticks that cover a previously unimagined frequency range - often up to several GHz. Due to the low power consumption such SDRs are perfectly suited for operation on the road, no matter if on vacation or at a remote location.
The choice of receivers at WiMo is large, if you need help with the selection, we are happy to help you with our experience.
