RF-Explorer 6G WB Plus Spectrum Analyzer 15MHz - 6.1 GHz

The RF Explorer is a portable spectrum analyzer. The backlit LC display shows a section of the radio spectrum and the receivable signals. The signal strength is displayed in dBm or dBµV. So you can see at a glance if there is a signal in the selected frequency range. This makes the RF Explorer a very useful measuring device and at the same time a very fast working bug finder, with which hidden transmitters can be easily detected.

The frequency range of the RF Explorer covers 15 MHz to 6100 MHz, without gaps or restrictions. This covers all major radio ranges used for surveillance spies, small transmitters, WIFI, government radio and many other purposes. A marker in the LC display automatically shows the level of the strongest signal.

The menu allows easy setting of the center frequency and the displayed bandwidth, as well as which antenna input to use. The display can remember and show maximum values once received. This allows you to leave the receiver running unattended for a while and check later if a signal has been received. A special Wifi mode allows detailed observation of the 2.4GHz WLAN band by channel.

The USB port on the RF Explorer is used to charge the internal Li-Ion battery (1800 mAh) and to transfer data to a PC or MAC computer. With the help of free available software the received signal spectrum can be displayed on the PC and stored for documentation purposes. The software is available in source code (open source), the data protocol for the USB connection is also documented. So the RF Explorer is very open and perfect for hackers and hobbyists who want to realize their own ideas. Firmware updates are also imported via the USB interface.

This model replaces the standard RF Explorer 6G Combo. With the new, slimmer design of the rugged metal case, the USB port has been relocated for better accessibility and the capacity of the internal battery has been expanded.

Together with the signal generator (see below), the result is a good and portable network analyzer.
