- RG-213 FOAM coaxial cable
RG-213FOAM: Low-attenuation, low-cost coaxial cable. RG-213 FOAM is a coaxial cable with the same outer diameter as RG-213 but a completely different construction. Instead of PVC solid material, this cable has a dielectric made of foamed polyethylene. The attenuation is thus much lower than with RG-213 and almost reaches the values of the best low-loss cables. The shielding consists of copper braiding with additional copper foil, thus achieving a very high shielding level. The cable is available in fixed lengths of 25m, 50m or 100m as well as cut to length.
Application in amateur radio, professional radio, short wave and VHF.
Attenuation on 144 MHz: 4.5dB/100m.
