The AA-Sticks are battery-powered, portable antenna analyzers for the frequency range from 100 kHz up to 230, 500, 600 or 1000 MHz. The typical characteristics of an antenna, cable or filter are measured, such as SWR, return loss, R, X, L, C, magnitude and phase angle.
By equipping the AA-Stick with Bluetooth, the analyzer is very well suited for field applications, for example to measure directly at the feed point of an antenna and transfer the data to a portable computer. Power is supplied by a built-in, replaceable LiIon battery with (3.7V, type 18650). This battery is charged via a USB socket.
The AA stick is housed in a robust, rubberized case, the built-in PL socket is protected by a plastic cap. Operation is via 6 buttons that control a well thought out, English language menu system. The display is a 200x200 monochrome display (e-paper) with very low power consumption. The AA-Stick Pro has a TFT color display with a resolution of 220x220 pixels. The connection to the antenna is a PL socket (SO-239) or an N socket, depending on the version.
