Technical description 4O-USB2RS485
The USB to RS-485 (aka EIA-485) stick converts the serial data signal of the USB interface into a bipolar RS-485 signal. This has the advantage that due to the symmetrical signal level, a much better robustness and thus a greater distance is achieved during transmission.
The stick does not need an external power supply, this is done via the USB 2.0 interface. Baud rate from 75bps to 115200bps, depending on the system, up to 6 MBps possible.
Application description 4O-USB2RS485
This level converter is used to connect the magnetic compass of the Rotator Genius to a PC. This is necessary for calibration, for example, or if you want to read out other magnetic sensors on the PC.
