Technical description UB-20MX
The very compact UB-20MX works as a 2 element Moxon antenna (radiator + reflector) on the bands 17 and 20m, achieving a gain of approx. 5.8 dB and a very good front/rear ratio. On the upper bands from 15m on, the beam works as a 3-element full-size Yagi. For switching the beam, an additional switching relay is included in the scope of delivery, the control line requires two additional wires.
The UB-20MX can reverse direction 180° at the touch of a button, so you can quickly check whether long-path or short-path is better, for example, without having to turn the antenna.
The RCU-06 controller is supplied with the antenna and enables full operation via a colour touch screen. The controller has a built-in USB interface that allows remote control by PC.
Application description UB-20MX
There is not always enough space for a full-size Yagi for all bands. Here, the UB-20MX offers an excellent compromise between space requirements and performance.
The smallest Ultrabeam 6-band Yagi 'UB-20MX' is a very compact solution for the bands from 6 to 20m. The antenna is only 2.9m long, the width is 7m and the weight is only 19kg. Ideal for terraced houses or situations where a very small element length has to be accommodated.
Fans of the 6m band don't have to miss out either:
An optional 6m kit with one element is available for this Yagi. This turns the 3-element Yagi into a 4-element for 6m. The gain and the forward/back ratio are thus improved on 6m. Of course, operation on this band is also possible without the option kits. The optional 6m element is not motor driven, but consists of conventional aluminium tubes. On the other bands, these short elements do not interfere.
