Vertical Array DX-AGU (40)/80/160m, Switch

DX vertical antenna for the low bands 160 and 80 m, also available with 40m band coverage.

The imposing total height of the antenna is 22m, of which the lower 12 meters are made of robust aluminum tube, for the remaining 10 meters to the top lightweight GRP tube is used. This mix of materials provides higher wind resistance, easier assembly and lower weight of the whole structure. This makes it possible to lighten the structure and allows for easier and safer installation and greater wind resistance.

The adjustment of the resonant frequency of the antenna is performed by means of high-quality vacuum relay switch. The use of a contact in a vacuum environment aims to increase the life of the relay, because the absence of oxygen prevents the corrosion of the contact and the formation of oxides and organic materials that could increase the resistance of the circuit. The DX-AGU can be used for CW and SSB, as well as in digital modes.

The antenna also features a foldable base, making it easy to flip for maintenance.

The Super Vertical antennas differ from similar antennas available on the market in several ways

All parts are stainless steel, including the hose clamps that secure the coil, and the telescoping tubes are mounted with stainless steel flanges.

The capacitors used in the LC circuits are generously sized and can accommodate up to 5 kW of power. The coils, unlike usual, are made of aluminum tube (and not aluminum wire). This results in perfect mechanical sealing of the LC circuit, easy antenna calibration and high mechanical resistance to external stress.

The feed point has been designed for optimum heat dissipation, especially important for longer transmission cycles, for example in digital operation.
