Technical description FTM-510DE

The Yaesu FTM-510DE ASP is a high-performance C4FM digital/FM 144/430 MHz dual-band mobile radio with 55W (VHF) / 50W (UHF) transmission power. It was designed as a further development of the FTM-500DE and offers improved reception quality and enhanced user-friendliness thanks to new functions.

One of the major new features is the Super DX function, which can be used in C4FM digital and FM analog modes. It increases the sensitivity of the RF amplifier, enabling improved reception of weak signals.

In addition, the device offers ASP (Audio Digital Signal Processor), which can be activated in FM analog mode. This digital signal processing filters out noise from FM signals and ensures clearer audio reproduction. ASP AUTO mode automatically switches the function on as soon as weak signals are detected.

Application description FTM-510DE

The FTM-510DE ASP is ideal for DX operations, mobile applications and fixed station use, especially in environments with weak signal reception. Thanks to the improved PMG (Primary Memory Group) and MAG (Memory Auto Grouping) functions, intuitive frequency management is possible. Up to five VFO or memory channels can be monitored simultaneously, with received signals displayed visually and distinguished by color.

Another highlight is the new “My Group (M-GRP)” function in the MAG system, which allows flexible selection of memory channels regardless of the frequency band.

Compared to the FTM-500DE, the FTM-510DE ASP offers the following improvements:

• Super DX function to increase reception sensitivity for weak signals.

• Improved PMG system: Automatic adjustment of the received signal display so that historical signals are hidden after 2 seconds.
