The ideal rig for newcomers or as a secondary station. Compact allmode transceiver for shortwave (160 to 10m) wit hall necessary functions. 100 W output power. Direct frequency input with keyboard, loudspeaker on front for best AF quality. 100 memories and many scan functions.
Frequency range of ALL IC-718 is on 40m 7.0 - 7.1 MHz.
If operating up to 7.2 MHz is required, a frequency extension is required to.

Icom Desk Microphones
Elegant and light gooseneck microphone with Electret element, for all Icom transceivers with 8pin round Mic socket (Foster socket). Base with keys for PTT and PTT-Lock. The microphone level can be adjusted by a small potentiometer at the lower side of the base, which also locates a slider for 'low cut'. The microphone can be adjusted in height and direction with the flexible gooseneck, the 1m long, straight cable is included.

Heavy base with keys for PTT and PTT-Lock, plus keys for Up and Down (changes frequency or memory, function depending on radio), plus easily accessible key for 'low cut'. The microphone level is adjustable by a small potentiometer on the lower side of the base. The microphone can be adjusted in height and direction with the flexible gooseneck, the 1m long, straight cable is included.
Built into the base is a microphone amplifier, the supply voltage is provided by the transceiver. This makes this dynamic microphone useable on a wide range of older and all new Icom rigs.

Frequency Extension for RadiosPlease note:
All radios supplied by WiMo normally cover only the amateur bands (transmit wise).
The frequency extension of a radio (TX open) is done on explicit request by the customer.
Amateur Radio transceivers are usually not specified for use outside the amateur bands. In some cases the radio and especially the final amplifier or output filters can be damaged when transmitting outside the amateur bands. These damages are not covered by any warranty.
The manufacturer warranty might be voided in some cases as well.
