Hy-Gain TH-3MK4 3 Bande Beam, 3 El. 10/15/20m

A classic beam for the three most important shortwave bands!

The hyGain TH-3MK4 has three elements and offers good performance while requiring only little space. The boom is only 430cm long, the turning radius only 467 cm. With these small dimensions the beam fits even on a terraced house where the airspace of the neighbour must not be touched. The relatively small weight and small windsurface allows the use of a small rotor. With the small packing size of 135 x 20 x 20 cm this beam is well suited fro transport on expeditions. All mountimng hardware is made from stainless steel.

The average gain is approx. 8 dBi, the all impoartant front-to-back ratio (important to null out qrm) has a value of 25 dB. The maximum transmit power is 1500 W. The coaxial cable is directly attached to the radiator. An optional balun can be used if desired. The elemnts of the beam can be set to three different poisitions, adjusting the tuning to the beginning, center or high end of the band. The usable bandwidth with SWR less or equal to 2:1 is approx. 250 to 400 kHz, depending on band.
