With the FT-450 Yaesu extends it's desktop product line with a compact shortwave (+6m) transceiver incl. antenna tuner. The double conversion receiver is equipped with a 10 kHz roofing filter and eight bandpass filters, preventing large signal distortions. The very powerful IF DSP (24 kHz IF) offers a lot of controls to detect eve nthe faintest signals in the noise: IF shift, contour filter, noise reduction, manual notch filter etc. And the DSP is also helpful for transmission, here it offers a digital equalizer, controls the VOX very precisely etc.
Regardless if ou do SSB, telegraphy or RTTY - the FT-450 covers all needs. Split operation for the rare DX, a built in CW keyer with many options, FSK-RTTY or PSK31 is possible over the data socket. Up to 500 memories are easily managend in 12 different banks, the CAT system allows to control the transceiver from your computer (additional software required).
Up to 100 W transmit power (reduceable) are generated in the newly designed Mosfet finals. The solid aluminium chassis, together with a large, quiet fan helps to reduce the thermal stress. The FT-450D has an antenna tuner already installed. Power supply is 12V DC, max. 22A.

Frequency Extension for RadiosPlease note:
All radios supplied by WiMo normally cover only the amateur bands (transmit wise).
The frequency extension of a radio (TX open) is done on explicit request by the customer.
Amateur Radio transceivers are usually not specified for use outside the amateur bands. In some cases the radio and especially the final amplifier or output filters can be damaged when transmitting outside the amateur bands. These damages are not covered by any warranty.
The manufacturer warranty might be voided in some cases as well.
